\u201cSwimmies\u201d are an amazing invention. They let toddlers play safely by the water, and even enjoy themselves, without you having to watch them like a hawk.<\/p>\n

But a 35-year-old who wears swimmies in the pool?<\/b>\u00a0That\u2019s just ridiculous.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s because the point of swimmies is to\u00a0protect your toddler<\/b>\u00a0while s\/he makes the transition<\/i>\u00a0to\u00a0actually swimming<\/b>. The hope being, of course, that by age 4 or 5 your toddler has total freedom to move safely in the water and have fun doing it!<\/p>\n

Just like swimmies aren\u2019t forever,\u00a0neither is a total media lockdown<\/b>\u00a0to protect your kids from viewing unsavory things on TV or the Internet. There\u2019s a place for protection, of course! But just like swimmies help you make the\u00a0transition<\/b>\u00a0to swimming, you should be using tools and techniques to help your kids make the transition to responsible, healthy enjoyment of movies, TV, and apps.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Media Monster\u201d training is designed to help you make that transition.<\/b><\/p>\n
