Banana Nut Butter Donuts

Ingredients

Donuts:

  • 2 bananas about 1 cup, mashed
  • 1 cup almond butter or peanut butter or sun butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Icing:

  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup nut butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Instructions

For the donuts:

  • Preheat a donut maker (I use this one).
  • Using a hand beater or a fork, combine everything in a bowl.
  • Spoon about 3 tablespoonfuls of batter into heated donut maker.
  • Bake for 10 minutes.
  • Remove and cool before icing.

Icing:

  • Soften coconut oil over low heat.
  • Stir in remaining ingredients.
  • Dip cooled donuts into icing and serve.

Notes

If using an oven, preheat oven to 350 and bake donuts in pans for 8-12 minutes, depending on the size of your pan. These look like great donut pans.
