For me, 2 tablespoons of sweetener is enough! If you need more, go for it. I suggest tasting the filling just after you have blended it. You may also add more spices if you'd like to at this time. Another note: if you have issues with cashews, sub them out with Almonds or Pecans. You may need to adjust the liquids a bit, but I believe you should be fine.
